Lemonade stand (for tornado victims)
Letter from Claire's Mom: "For several weeks now, Claire and Grace have been begging to do a lemonade stand to "raise money for the poor." Claire and Grace have decided that the money they raise would best be used to benefit the victims of the recent tornadoes in St. Louis." Claire and Grace raised $190!

First Holy Communion (1 May 2011)
Grace had the biggest first date of her life! Just before Grace received First Holy Communion, I asked her, "Are you ready?" She had a nervous look and said, "yes." I then said, "Jesus has been waiting for you"...she smiled really big! Blessed John Paul II (beatified same day), please join us in praying for Grace's faith journey. P.S. Afterwards Grace told me that she thought the Eucharist would taste like garlic bread.

Letter from Neighbor
Hi, All! I just had to share a cute story about a conversation that I had with Jackson last night. As you may know, he and Grace Castle have been hanging out quite a bit lately, and Jackson is very fond of her. When Jackson was eating dinner last night, he asked me, "Mom, do you have to be married to have a sleepover ?" I reminded him that Nick has friends sleep over all the time, and he said, "Well, Grace said that a boy and a girl have to be MARRIED to have a sleepover." Of course, I told him that yes, Grace was right about that. I asked him what got him thinking about that, and he informed me that he'd asked Grace if she wanted to have a sleepover sometime, and she told him that boys and girls can't have a sleepover until they are married. Again, I told him that was correct, then asked him if he wanted to marry Grace... His response: "NO! I just have to wait until SHE gets married so that I can have a sleepover with her." Is that hilarious, or what??? :-) I told him that when a girl gets married, her husband wouldn't want her to have a sleepover with another boy. Wow...did THAT ever open a whole other can of worms!!!
